Techlink provides you with a comprehensive library of information, daily bulletins, and multimedia resources on developments of relevance to the financial planning industry.

Techlink includes:


A constantly updated comprehensive library of personal and corporate tax, trusts, pensions and other financial planning information and insight covering the fundamentals through to advanced planning. Each subject area is broken down into manageable topics - each topic covering a separate area of the subject. Dynamic links within the topics will take you to other relevant areas within Techlink, as well as linking directly to any source material we think you may find useful.


Bulletins are produced each day giving a complete analysis of relevant developments in tax, trusts, pensions and other financial planning-related subjects. Bulletins include a commentary on how these developments will affect you, your clients, or the financial services sector, and how this information may help you within your business.

Need to Know

Need to Know articles give you executive summaries of subjects of high importance and potential complexity - most of which will be covered in greater depth within the main library and bulletins. These are compact topics targeted at those areas with current strong consumer interest, giving you the reason why you need to know the information and what you need to know.


The videos section contains online presentations and videos on a wide range of tax and financial planning issues for you to watch.

Techlink Communicator (Additional Premium Service)

Techlink Communicator is our complete communication service that enables you to regularly keep in touch with, inform and inspire your clients and the professional advisers you do business with through quarterly newsletters and through FYI.

FYI is a bi-weekly and highly focussed e-mail that you can send to your clients and professional contacts updating them on the developments and opportunities that are likely to be of interest and relevance to them

Our client FYI email targets relevant content in relation to specific client groups: Parents, Property Owners, Investors, Business Owners, Employees, Relevant Planners, Retirees. Whilst our FYI Professional email can be sent to all of your professional adviser contacts.

Wrapper Tool

Wrapper Tool is an add on to Techlink and is a modelling calculator which shows the projected growth of investments held in wrappers for trustees or individual investors.

ASK Service

Additionally, Techlink can also be your 'gateway' for accessing consultancy through our 'ASK' service and access to the 'ASK' archive.

Ask Service (Additional Premium Service) Not available on trial or for purchase online

ASK (a premium additional service to the Techlink package) offers subscribers the ability to ask specialist consultants case-related or more generalised questions through a secure area of the site. Questions and resultant answers are stored within your own inbox on the website. Questions asked by other users are also available to view on an anonymous basis making this section an infinitely expandable question and answer database.

Price: The cost of the ASK service is in addition to the monthly Techlink subscription and is £400 plus VAT payable for 10, 15 minute units. Each question usually deducts 1 or 2 units unless you are informed otherwise. ASK units do not run out over time, just as and when you use them. Cancellation Policy

Website cancellation policy for digital content subscription - business-to-consumer

This policy summarises some of your key rights and provides information on cancellations. It is not intended to replace the terms and conditions contained in our terms and conditions or Online Subscriber Agreement, which you should read carefully before you subscribe to any digital content from us.


Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, Technical Connection Limited, Floors 1-3, 116 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London, SW3 1JJ, Telephone: 0207 405 1600, Email:, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.


Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract within 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you. We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the cancellation period, at our discretion you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been performed until you have communicated us your cancellation from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

After expiry of the initial 14 day cancellation period, you can cancel your subscription with us at any time by going to Your Settings when in Techlink or by contacting us at Once you have cancelled in this way you will still have access to our services until the date of your next billing cycle. This date can be found in Your Settings.  If you elect to cancel in this way, you will not receive a refund for your current subscription.
